Overall, this was a good and solid read and it made me smile, laugh and look forward to more. It was great to see them all and this really whetted my appetite for the next Lucky Harbor series. I loved seeing how Maddie, Tara and Chloe’s lives are all changing and how their family is growing. It’s always great to see the Lucky Harbor gang. They made sense and I enjoyed their story. They had a lot in common and they were the perfect fit for each other and even though I loved Carlos, I’m glad that Mia ended up with Nick. I enjoyed getting to know Mia more, getting into her head and hearing her thoughts but I also enjoyed getting to know Nick. There wasn’t a lot of page time so there wasn’t a long drawn out romance to read but what we got was still good. She’s not making this groveling session any easier but Nick is determined to win her back, he just needs to talk to her. Not having any experience with a family that actually wants to stick around and care for him, he finds dealing with Mia’s family is a lot easier than dealing with Mia herself.

When he arrives in Lucky Harbor, Nick was expecting family but he wasn’t expecting the ex-boyfriend to punch him in the face. While apart, Nick realizes that he’s an ass and that he just let go of the one thing that actually means a great deal to him and he does what any smart man would do. Things are going swimmingly or so Mia thinks so but when Mia invites Nick home to spend the holidays with Mia and her family, he flips the hell out (internally) and then declines the gift and Mia goes home without him. She’s working and she’s dating a really great guy named Nick. She’s doing her own thing and has moved on from Carlos. Mia is all grown up and living in New York City.
